What we do

The Centre for Digital Wellbeing examines social media’s impact on Australian society with a focus on three primary areas:

  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Social cohesion
  • Safety online

The Centre collates research into these impacts with the aim of informing policy and decision-making processes and developing best practice policy in Australia.

The Centre seeks to raise awareness among the Australian community about the impacts of social media usage and promote behaviour change through the development of digital tools and resources that enhance health and wellbeing, safety and social cohesion.

While the integration of technology into our reality is inevitable, the emphasis must be on creating a human-centred future.
